Plant Protection in India

This publication titled, "PLANT PROTECTION IN INDIA" provides readers with an introductory overview of plant protection, including pest detection, identification and diagnostics. Major aspects covered in this book include biological and chemical control in plant protection; and integrated pest and mite management. An introductory description of pesticides. fungicides and insecticides is done. Special highlights are made regarding plant quarantine and storage: locust control and research; and herbicide- resistant/noxious/invasive weeds" removal and reappearance prevention. An overview of plant immunity, bio-control and bio- security is given. An overview of future national plant protection strategies of India is provided herein.
